SOLD!

The title of this post says it all...we accepted an offer on our house today! So technically we have inspections and the run around with bank before it's sold, sold; but the buyers are really anxious and excited to be purchasing the house. Interestingly enough, Matt knows the guy and personally showed him the house.

So to recap....Last week we had 7 showings and an open house. We dropped the price a few weeks ago and we were finally seeing the traffic we had hoped for. Having showings constantly was really kind of annoying, but it paid off. After the open house Sunday, we had another showing. Then rumors started that we would be getting an offer on Monday...then that changed to 2 offers...That's right, we received 2 offers on the house yesterday! The counter offers began today, but it only took 1 to get where we wanted to be. Needless to say it's been a very exciting and somewhat stressful 48 hours. The biggest positive, the tentative closing date is May 29 and we are expected to be in the new house Memorial Day weekend!

So with all the exciting news, it just so happened that Aunt Pat and Forrest were planning to come down tonight to see the progress of the house and go to dinner. Matt and I decided to take them to this little know jewel in Terre Haute called Harry and Buds. This place has no sign out front, no menu and is reservation only and by that I mean one table a night. The food is amazing and he just keeps bringing plate after plate of food. Tonight we had 7 different kinds of meat and tons of different veggies to go with it. Overall one of our favorite places. Not to mention we had 12 to go boxes of food!

Side note, I've been working on a separate post since Friday and have failed to complete it. Obviously we haven't been busy or anything :) So hopefully you will get an house update here soon...but don't hold me to it!
