The trim carpenter now has all the crown molding on the cabinets, which was not on in the above picture. It really adds a nice finished look. He has all the windows trimmed out and is starting to install doors today. So far this week we have been appliance shopping and then reading reviews like its our job. Selecting appliances is overwhelming! Maybe more so than the paint - and that's a lot for me to say! There are so many different brands, each store sells different ones, the appliance itself is so high tech and smart its amazing. They are also extremely expensive (I think this one purchase that I have never made!). But we are super excited to have all new, shinny, energy efficient appliances. And mostly excited to have a dishwasher!
After one set of tile we picked out for the fireplace was back ordered for 3 months, we decided we should shop around at Lowes and Menard's and see what we could find and maybe find something a little less expensive? Decorative tile is extremely expensive! And of course the ones that I love are at the high end. After some shopping, we found a set at each place that we really like and got a steal on the material - much more cost effective than the tile store. This week Matt and Justin worked on getting the meter hooked up on the house so the permanent power can be hooked up.
We also had stacks of brick delivered all over the yard this week! The brick layers started Wednesday and have already made quite a bit of progress. The picture at the bottom shows the brick going on! Its hard to tell because of the big shadow, but it looks great!

I see Dennis is out making his inspections! I hope it is up to his standards! :) So excited for you guys - I can't wait to see it in person, I have to get down there soon!
ReplyDeleteDennis is there costing us more money telling all of the workers stories and showing pictures!
