I still don't know when we will be in our new house, but it occurred to me yesterday that regardless we have to be out of the house we live in by May 29...that's 9 days!! My worry way back of ending up homeless might actually be true! Although our builder says everything will be ready by Friday, I am having my doubts.
This weekend the hardwood flooring was completed. The plumbers worked Saturday and got quite a few of the bathrooms hooked up, and we have running water in the house! However, I am still extremely skeptical that everything will be in move in condition by Friday. With the holiday weekend coming up, I doubt anyone will be working on a Saturday or even Monday for that matter, if there are any last minute items that need completed.
Friday the concrete for the driveway was completed. They poured in stages due to the rainy weather we have been having. They weren't sure if it would be possible to pour Friday due to the chance of rain. And although it look like it could pour down rain at any minute, they got it all done. Thankfully so! We have been working around the weather for a few weeks now with concrete and I'm so happy its all done. Hopefully this means less mess in our vehicles and both houses!
This weekend was rather relaxing. I had a huge event at work on Friday and I'm so happy to have one major stressor off my plate. Saturday I started packing while Matt and Justin installed lights then went to Indy for some retail therapy! Matt golfed yesterday and I enjoyed the beautiful day outside catching some rays. Last night we picked up the packing again. Besides all the stuff in the basement that was packed up when we put the house on the market, I think we have put a nice dent in boxing the rest of the contents. I know there are still a few closets to pack up but its so hard deciding what to put away now and what you might need. I know its only a week, but I hate being without something I might need.
