NYE Expectations

New Years Eve...its seems to be the night that everyone wants to do something, but no one knows what, and plans end up getting made last minute. Maybe its just me but does anyone else find themselves in the predicament or feel the pressure to do "something"?

Happy Third Anniversary :)

Matt and I thought we were being clever when we decided to get married on New Year's Eve. I believe we even had the discussion that most people make plans last minute for the holiday, so we knew lots of people would be excited to have plans for our wedding. It was the absolute perfect scenario for us: I got to dance the night away with my favorite people and Matt worked the room talking to our guest that weren't dancing with me :)

That was three years ago and now, we can't decide what our anniversary/ NYE plans will be - a night out dancing to a band and celebrating at a party hosted by a hotel, a house party or the traditional anniversary celebration of a date night.

With all good intentions to do something "fun" this year with a group of friends, we ended up making plans the night before NYE and finally setting everything in stone that day. Is it me, or does anyone else end up doing this? It seems no matter what we end up doing, we have a great time! This year we went to dinner in Indianapolis with a group of friends then headed to a house party. It was fun being able to catch up with old friends at dinner and make new ones at the house party.

On of these years we are going to go out and have big time plans. I just can resist those fun dresses and wish I had somewhere to wear one. Maybe it will be for our five year anniversary?
